I'm Sal and I'm a film stills and street photographer in Melbourne specialising in creating high quality images for theatre, music and film. When I’m not on a film set, you’ll find me wandering the city streets, fuelled by caffeine, taking shots of whatever looks remotely interesting.

My photographic journey started in 2015 with the purchase of my first proper full frame camera, the Nikon D610. I realised after trying every genre of photography, that street photography was my favourite and telling stories ‘in the moment’ was something I was good at. After switching to Olympus for a while I then invested in Sony cameras and lenses. I have the Sony A1 and Sony A7III bodies, and four fantastic Sony lenses.

I signed up for top stills photographer Nicola Dove’s Film Stills Academy course in 2022 after seeing her amazing photo of Daniel Craig from the set of No Time To Die, which was the first to be released to the media. Nicola has also worked on Our Flag Means Death for HBO, The Inbetweeners movie, and Murder On The Orient Express amongst many other productions. In 2023 I completed four short films, a stage play, two live music events, and finished the year with a feature film.

I’m professional, courteous and always sharing my sweets which is probably why I’m so popular on set.
My work has featured in Time Out and on the Instagram feed for Doubletree by Hilton hotel chain, I’m listed on the VicScreen film directory, and am a regular contributor to Yarra Trams’ social media.

If you’d like to work with me, please make contact and we can discuss your needs over a coffee in one of Melbourne’s wonderful coffee houses.
